Biography MioNeo
A diamond needs time to be cut according to all the rules of the art. It appears pure, alive and authentic. Its essence shines naturally because it has not been moulded by artifice or calculation. Childlike joy of expression and a gift of life experience at the same time: that is MioNeo.

As lic. phil. musicologist, MAS music therapist and singer-songwriter, Diana Ramette-Schneider alias MioNeo brings everything together in her music that is needed to truly touch people. Trained and educated at the University of Zurich, by Christina Jaccard and at the Zurich Jazz School, as well as at the Music Therapy and Jazz Faculty of Michigan State University (USA), she is able to use the craft she has acquired and let go of it again in favour of a primal, creative human understanding and connection. The singer-songwriter's accompanying instruments are the piano and the guitar. She has many years of training in dance (ballet, jazz and street dance). Theatre coaching with Daniele Finzi Pasca, among others, rounded off her artistic training. Diana alias MioNeo has decades of stage experience. She has realised her own productions in recording studios (once under the stage name Néo) and has worked as a background singer for productions by other artists, as well as a speaker and singer for TV and radio commercials.

MioNeo's artistic development goes hand in hand with her diverse and intense personal development. Her songs are full of depth and lightness, melancholy and vigour, introspection and the joy of sharing. Her compositions are thus able to connect people with their own liveliness.

Due to her multicultural background, elements of jazz, canzone italiana, world music and soul influence MioNeo's pop music.
